Dr Pieter van Heerden qualified as a dentist on 1984 and an orthodontist in 1992 at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He completed his MChD in 1992 and moved to the UK. He worked as an associate in St Albans from 1993 and became principal of the same practice in 1998. He founded Harpenden Orthodontic Practice in 1999.
Dr Van Heerden is a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontics and member of the BOS and AAO. He trained with Dr Dwight Damon, the inventor of the Damon system. He is a well known international speaker and has lectured extensively worldwide.

Vim qualified as a dental surgeon in 1997. She worked in general practice and several hospital posts before furthering into postgraduate training at the Eastman Dental hospital. During this time she gained a Masters in Orthodontics and qualified with MOrth from RCS of England in 2007. Since then she has been practicing Orthodontics for the last 10 years.

Dr Pieter (Bob) Esterhuysen obtained his research degree in medical science in 1991 and went on to qualify as a general dentist in 1995. He later went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics, all at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Dr Esterhuysen joined Harpenden Orthodontics in 2001 and has a special interest in orthodontics.

Noor qualified as a dental surgeon in 2001. After a period in general dentistry practice, teaching and several hospital appointments, she trained for a further three years at the Eastman Dental Hospital. During those three years, Noor gained a Masters in Orthodontics from University College London and later qualified with a membership in orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS (Eng)). Noor joined Harpenden Orthodontics on 1 April 2014 and is a member of the British Orthodontic Society. She has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry at the RCS (Eng) since March 2011 and now practices orthodontics, treating a variety of complex cases.
