Tradition with a twist

Gone are the days when braces were adjusted by eye; now using incredible 3D scanning and analysis tools, your results can be planned before your treatment even begins. With advancements in the design of the brackets, fixed braces are more comfortable and less noticeable than ever before.

Damon metal braces

Damon metal braces use a series of brackets and archwires just like traditional metal braces – but there is a difference. Damon brackets have a special sliding mechanism that allows them to hold your archwire in place without the need for any elastics.

This special “self-ligating” system allows your braces to self-adjust. The lack of elastics means much less pressure and friction on your smile and much fewer visits to our office since you won’t need as many adjustments.

Empower metal braces

We use Empower braces to treat our NHS patients. But these aren’t just any ordinary metal brackets – they are self-ligating, just like Damon brackets. This means your braces are designed to enhance your treatment efficiency and comfort.

The absence of elastic ties means fewer areas for plaque and bacteria to accumulate, making it easier to maintain good oral hygiene during treatment.
